Durable, attractive floors for industrial or commercial use
Epoxy flooring systems are used to resurface concrete floors and add colour to designate walkways or other markings. They provide performance functions such as slip resistance, chemical resistance, and abrasion resistance.
Epoxy floors are also used to provide waterproofing and pitch for water drainage and are seamless solutions for hygienic protection.
From an aesthetic standpoint, epoxy floors can add decorative finishes and designs to both commercial and industrial spaces, with unlimited colour options.
Stonclad epoxy flooring systems are high-strength industrial and commercial formulations for heavy-duty environments. Chemical, abrasion, and impact resistant, Stonclad epoxy flooring can also be configured to meet the needs of static control. Eco-friendly recycled glass applications are available. Less industrial areas benefit from its wide-ranging colour palette. Stonclad is also available in a urethane formulation.
Stonshield textured epoxy flooring is safe and easy to clean, offering wide-ranging design flexibility. With a myriad of patterns and textures for light industrial and commercial environments, it offers ultra-slip-resistant protection too.
Stonblend decorative, seamless flooring is smart, smooth, and stain resistant. It is highly recommended for pharmaceutical, research, and healthcare applications. It's also popular for commercial environments. Available with a recycled glass formulation for an environmentally-friendly application.
Stontec decorative, flake-finish flooring systems are dense and stain resistant and available in epoxy or urethane. With an extensive range of flake finishes and colour options, Stontec is popular with design teams for applications from pharma labs to university concourses. Perfect for quick installations.
Stonlux is an ultra-smooth, liquid-rich self leveling floor. It’s the prime choice for environments in need of static control and low-friction flooring such as clean rooms, laboratories, data centers, and studios.
Whether new build or an upgrade, epoxy flooring offers a long list of benefits, many of which are unmatched by traditional flooring. With a wide range of finishes, colours, and its seamless design. Epoxy flooring not only enhances aesthetic appeal but also provides a robust surface that can withstand heavy traffic, chemicals, and abrasion.
Explore some of the many applications of epoxy flooring in both industrial and commercial facilities.
Manufacturing facilities require the toughest flooring solutions available. Ultra-durable, seamless, industrial epoxy floors offer impact, chemical, and abrasion resistance. Epoxy flooring systems provide long-term protection for areas like processing, packaging, warehouses, traffic aisles, battery storage, or others.
High-performance epoxy flooring for car dealerships and auto repair shops provides protection from chemicals, stains, and impact, while adding safety with slip-resistant coatings. A variety of colour options, including custom colours, are available so your auto service areas are not only durable and easy to clean, but attractive. Commercial epoxy floors allow for custom logos to be a part of your design.
Aerospace facilities require floors that stand up to heavy machinery, traffic, and chemical spills. Seamless epoxy floors offer the durability needed to last and with the right formulation, can provide conductivity, for the areas where protection against static is needed like design spaces, assembly, labs, and maintenance areas for aircraft, parts, missiles, and rockets.
Colleges and schools have many flooring requirements and must strike a balance between performance and design. With plenty of foot traffic from staff, faculty, and students alike, campuses need tough, high-traffic epoxy floors that won't wear down over time. With a variety of colours and patterns, including custom logos, available, epoxy floors for education spaces can meet all of your needs.
Industrial epoxy floors for the automotive industry come in a broad array of textures, designs, and finishes. Most importantly they protect areas like production and traffic aisles from chemical, impact, and wear. Conductive epoxy floors offer protection against electrostatic discharge in areas like high-tech test labs and automated assembly.
Pharmaceutical areas such as processing, packaging, clean rooms, labs, and vivariums require high-performance epoxy floors. Industrial epoxy floors offer chemical, impact and abrasion resistance while meeting high design standards at the same time.
Epoxy floors provide both design and functionality for retail locations like grocery stores, convenience stores, big box stores, clothing stores, and more. They stand up to heavy traffic, spills, impact, and continuous cleaning, while offering a wide array of colours, textures, and finishes. Epoxy flooring can designate specific areas and separate them from one another and designate walkways and exits. Fast installation is available to keep your operation up and running.
Hospitals, medical centers, and other healthcare facilities like veterinary hospitals have many performance requirements when it comes to floors. Commercial epoxy flooring for healthcare spaces support hygiene and infection control programs by eliminating spaces and seams where bacteria can harbour and grow. In addition to being easy to clean and maintain, hospital flooring should be highly durable, stain resistant, and slip resistant.

The area is inspected prior to installation to determine the right system required for the area and the type of testing required. Based on the condition of the slab, use of the space, or age of the building, different tests may be required, such as Calcium Chloride or Relative Humidity testing to determine the moisture content of the slab or contamination.
Based on the information found from these tests and onsite visits, the proper preparation procedure is determined. This may include mechanical preparation with media blasting, diamond grinding, and removal by jack hammers and chipping guns. If slabs are determined to be contaminated with oils, de-greasing may be necessary to achieve proper adhesion. Preparation is the most important process to ensure there is a proper bond to the substrate.
Installation of the system will vary depending on the specific system (broadcast, mortar, self-leveler). Common installation procedures vary from screeding and troweling the material, squeegeeing and rolling the material, and broadcasting the material. All details, including waterproofing, cove base, penetrations, drains, etc., are discussed prior to installation. These will be handled properly to ensure a good quality epoxy floor installation with professionally trained installation teams.
